The Crazy Pet Channel: Guinea Pigs

Hi readers! I thought I would do a more farm related post for a change. 1. Cows, they are the main animal at the farm and have to be kept happy and healthy. The main job is feeding them, this does take some time as we have well over 20 cows. As well as feeding them we have to muck out the yard and lower barn from their poo. Every now and again we also have to get them into the cattle crush to do TB (Bovine Tuberculosis) tests with the vet, worm them or tag any calves that haven't already. Hi readers! I decided to do this post as I have been giving my guinea pigs more things to do to keep them happy and healthy. 1. Give them a hay pile. Guinea pigs love to hide in hay and they can also eat it. It is messy but your piggies will absolutely love it! 2. Scatter forage around their cage. This encourages your guineas to move about and gives them a variety in their diet. 3. Put their veggies on a kabob. This will keep them occupied for ages and you can get them that attach to the side of cages and ones that go on the floor for your piggies to roll around (  HAYPIGS! Piggy weightlifter is my personal favorite ) 4. Give them fleece beds. This is a great idea especially in the winter as the fleece will help them stay warm.
