Keeping your guinea pigs warm in the winter
Hi readers, todays post is about how to keep your guinea pigs warm in the winter. In some countries it gets really cold and snowy and is generally not good for guinea pigs to be outside.
To keep your guinea pigs warm you can put piles of hay and straw in their cage/hutch and you can put their cage/hutch in a shed or garage with a heater.
Another way to keep them warm is to get a heat pad made specially for small pets, these are very basic and you just put them in the microwave to make them warm.
One of the best ways to keep your pets warm is to have a few of them so they can cuddle up to keep warm.
Another idea is to make a pile of fleecy strips. This is something I have never done with my guinea pigs because I don't generally use fleece or fabric apart from towels from home bargains which means they were really cheap, but when I do put fleece/towels on shelves etc they really like it.
These are just some ideas and you can create your own.
