Bramble update

Hi readers, Bramble has had a few problems recently that I wanted to share with you.

So a few months ago (Ok so not that recent. To be precise it was in June) I noticed she had a lump but didn't take her to the vet as it was very small. Fast forward a month and it was substantially larger (around the size of a grape and a half) so I took her to the vets and she (the vet not bramble) said it was a benign cyst and due to the risk of the anesthetic it wasn't worth the risk of operating. The vet said to weigh her wheekly to make sure she isn't drastically loosing weight (I haven't actually weighed her! Oooops! But I have no scales...hmm should probably buy some. Ok going off track here!) and make sure she is eating enough.

A few weeks later......
We took Bramby to a diffrent vet, on the advice of the guinea pig magazine experts, and they said it's a tumor and it would be better to remove it sooner rather than later. We decided it would be better to get it removed, so she is going in on Monday the 16th of October. She is still doing well (pre op) and doesn't really notice the tumor.

Book Worm ☺
